Temporary HR Clerk

Location: Houston, TX 77081
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (1 hour, 15-minute lunch)
Position Type: Temporary Assignment (up to 6 months)

We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and dependable Temporary HR Clerk to provide essential support for up to six (6) months while a team member is on medical leave. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth HR operations and ensuring consistent service to employees and management. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Role Overview

The Temporary HR Clerk will support day-to-day HR administrative and operational tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinating onboarding and conversion processes for temporary employees
  • Submitting background check requests and scheduling drug screenings
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of I-9 documentation and payroll forms
  • Preparing job offer letters
  • Maintaining electronic employee records and documentation
  • Assisting with general administrative work and department projects
  • Providing occasional front desk coverage and additional clerical support as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Previous administrative or HR experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
